Crete Public Library recently held its Library Legos program with master builder Beth Weis, who has been building with LEGO bricks her entire life.

In 1994, Weis developed a business, Brickology, that provides children with social, emotional, cognitive and motor skill enrichment through playing with LEGOs.

Weis now facilitates more than 500 events a year, including workshops, classes, parties and community events.

Children used LEGOs of various shapes and sizes to make boats, airplanes, space stations, castles and more. Library officials said the highlight of the afternoon was when children worked together on what became a large circle of LEGOs towering more than four feet high. The project took children three hours to build.
