St. James Manor and Villas, 1251 E. Richton Road, Crete, will host its inaugural Fit for All Gathering and Health Fair from 1 to 3 p.m. Sept. 20 in the campus chapel.
The event will feature food, chair massages, free blood pressure screenings, information on how the VA Aid and Attendance Benefit can pay for long-term care; one-on-one question-and-answer sessions with the therapy department; tips on fall and winter safety from local emergency services; senior activities and volunteer opportunities with the resident activities department; and more.
The event will culminate at 1:30 p.m. with a panel discussion titled, “Hoarding: A Medical Stance” from the St. James Manor and Villas Advisory Board, led by medical director Dr. Rakesh K. Chugh. There will be a question-and-answer session following the discussion.
Senior citizen discussion attendees also will be entered in a drawing for a $100 Walt’s Food Center gift card. All event attendees also will receive complimentary St. James Manor and Villas gifts and a chance to win several prizes. Winners must be present to claim prizes; additional restrictions may apply.
