Marian Catholic High School in Chicago Heights recently held a celebration honoring its new media center, refurbished library and Mark A. Altman ’66 Memorial Garden.
The Rev. William O’Mara blessed the new buildings before participants attended an appreciation brunch and took tours of the new facilities.
The media center features a broadcast and sound studio, an editing/control suite and labs decicated to both Macintosh and PC computers. Each is fully equipped with LCD projectors, smart boards and professional color laser printers. The Macintosh lab offers the complete Adobe Creative Suites 6 Master Collection software.
“The Media Center is fundamental to Marian Catholic’s curriculum, offering students not only general and specific skills needed to be successful in present and future educational endeavors, but also the foundation for a successful career path,” school officials said in a news release.
