Ashley Carboni, of South Chicago Heights, recently was selected as the corporate social responsibility coordinator of the implementation team for Business Week 2013 at Illinois State University.
Carboni, a graduate of Bloom Trail High School, is an ISU junior majoring in accounting. She also is secretary and activity coordinator for the professional business fraternity of Beta Gamma Sigma, treasurer of the Student Alumni Council and secretary in the dean of students office for the College of Business.
Carboni also is an active member of the Student Ambassador Leadership Team, the professional business fraternity Pi Sigma Epsilon and the Meet the Firms Committee in the Student Accounting Society.
As part of the implementation team, Carboni will assist with the planning, organizing, promoting and implementation of Business Week events.
Business Week includes an array of interactive events through which College of Business alumni and industry partners engage with students to help them build essential soft skills and prepare them for a dynamic and constantly changing professional environment, college officials said.
Carboni is the daughter of Colleen Crews, of South Chicago Heights.
