Students at Columbia Central School in Steger recently performed the play “Macbeth Goes Hollywood.”
In the play, William Shakespeare options his script for “Macbeth” to a Hollywood producer, who looks to make a few modern changes such as witches being cast as country singers, rappers and punk rockers; and Macbeth and Lady Macbeth performing their lines as gangsters, farmers and Goths.
Student directors were Christine Ortman and Doug Janota.
Cast members included Megan Cano, Justice Adler, Tomer Proctor-Zenker, Kylie Kreis, Karlie Emery, Mary Piattoni, Akinele Reece, Mia Anderson, Komaria Carpenter, Anthony Serrano, Robert Thusing, Julia Miller, Alexxzander Hurst, Dayla Dillon, Katie Greene, Steven Sanchez, Cody Thurmond, Zane Braun and Kyle Greenwood.
