Zion Lutheran School in Beecher recently welcomed new staff member Morgan Neubauer, who will teach art appreciation to students in first grade and older.
Neubauer attended Western Illinois University and has a bachelor of arts in journalism and advertising, with a minor in fine art. She also is a member of Zion Lutheran Church.
“Art education helps children become more confident and motivated,” Neubauer said. “More importantly, it promotes happiness. These things can only contribute to their success in other academic areas.
“The ability to create art is not about skill; it’s about discovery and understanding. That is the foundation for most of the student art projects this year.”
“We welcome Mrs. Neubauer and are excited to have her join our Zion family,” Principal Paul Eggert said. “We know her expertise will enrich our children’s art education.”
