Man dies following accident in Crete

An 82-year-old Steger man who was injured in an accident Wednesday in Crete has died, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Peter Lococo, of the 200 block of Columbia Circle, died as a result of injuries suffered in the accident, which happened somewhere along Steger Road in Crete, authorities said.
Lococo was transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where he died from his injuries at 7:57 p.m. Wednesday, the medical examiner’s office said.
Crete police could not immediately be reached for comment. No further details were available.
