The Navy Junior ROTC unit at Bloom Trail High School in Chicago Heights recently finished in second place overall during the Westinghouse Invitational meet at Westinghouse High School in Chicago.
The Bloom Trail team finished second in the personnel inspection and unarmed marching portions of the meet. The team placed third in the color guard competition.
An individual medal was awarded to Josh Lewis, who finished fifth in unarmed knock-out. In the unarmed competition, students who placed included Melissa Churchill (ninth), Jesus Franco (fifth), Josh Lewis (third) and Denise Zavala (first).
