CHICAGO HEIGHTS

THEFT: Seven I-beams and copper piping were stolen between October and March 17 from a vacant house in the 100 block of East 13th Street.

THEFT: Copper piping was stolen between March 13 and 15 from an apartment building in the 1100 block of Grant Avenue, causing $1,000 worth of damage and leaving a tenant without running water.

ASSAULT: Dennis Hunt, 49, of Chicago Heights, was charged with assault after threatening a woman by making a shooting gesture at her March 15 in the 1400 block of Emerald Avenue, police said.

DUI ARREST: Angela Tite, 31, of St. John, Ind., was charged with drunken driving after a March 17 stop at Halsted Street and Vollmer Road, police said.

STOLEN CAR FOUND: A 2003 Mercedes reported stolen from Flossmoor was recovered March 17 in the 200 block of West 15th Place. The car belonged to the Prayer Faith Outreach Ministry, 944 W. 103rd St., Chicago.

PROPERTY DAMAGE: JeJuan Love, 23, 126 W. 16th St., Chicago Heights, was charged with criminal trespass after breaking a window March 18 to enter an apartment building in the 400 block of 16th Street and then falling asleep near the stairwell, police said.

DUI CHARGE: Carlos Dryden, 22, 2845 W. Broadway, Blue Island, was charged with drunken driving, improper lane use and not wearing a seat belt after a stop March 18 at 14th and Green streets, police said.

CAR THEFT: A 1994 Lexus was stolen March 20 from a driveway in the 1900 block of Revere Street.

SHOT FIRED: A Chicago Heights man told police he saw two men beating another man on the ground March 20 in the 400 block of West 14th Place. As the victim lay on the ground, one of the assailants fired a shot on the air.

CAR THEFT: A 1990 Chevrolet Celebrity was stolen March 21 in the 100 block of West 10th Street.

DOGNAPPING: A Chicago Heights woman told police someone stole her 3-month-old Bernese mountain dog March 22 from her yard in the 1400 block of Otto Boulevard.

DUI CASE: Cory Cummings, 34, 1103 W. Raye Drive, Chicago Heights, was charged with drunken driving, improper lane use and illegal transportation of alcohol March 23 after a stop at Ashland Avenue and Joe Orr Road, police said.

TRESPASSING: Ricky Stevenson, 44, 115 Broadway, Chicago Heights, was charged with criminal trespass after refusing to leave Church’s Chicken, 1341 Halsted St., on March 23, police said. They said officers were called to the same restaurant because of Stevenson three times earlier that day.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Willie Harper, 53, 547 W. 16th Place, Chicago Heights, was charged with domestic battery after a March 23 incident at 14th Street and Ashland Avenue, police said.

COKE CHARGE: Eugene Toliver, 42, of Chicago Heights, was charged with possession of cocaine after being questioned by police March 23 in the 300 block of West 15th Place, police said.

COKE ARREST: Michael Howard, 23, 221 Arcadia St., Park Forest, was charged with possession of cocaine after he was stopped March 25 in the 1500 block of Chicago Road, police said.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Donail Hannah, 25, 466 W. Hickory St., Chicago Heights, was charged with domestic battery and criminal damage to property after breaking electronic equipment and furniture during a March 25 disturbance in his apartment, police said.

DUI ARREST: Hector Haraz Jr., 22, 2937 188th Place, Lansing, was charged with drunken driving, speeding and no insurance after a March 27 stop at Joe Orr Road and Lowe Avenue, police said.
