Homeowner workshops in Chicago Heights offer new beginnings

The Chicago Heights Housing Task Force, vendors, lenders, banks, refinance specialists and developers will participate in an educational program from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 20 at the St. James Hospital Campus at The Stephanie Center, 30 E. 15th St., Chicago Heights.

Workshops will cover foreclosure prevention, credit repair, loan modifications, reverse mortgages, insurance options, identity theft and crisis support.

Vendors with information about employment opportunities will be available.

Admission is free of charge.

Sponsors include the city of Chicago Heights, CEDA, South-Southwest Suburban United Way, Standard Bank, BMO Harris Bank, First Midwest Bank, Spanish Coalition for Housing, Prairie State College and Habitat for Humanity Chicago South Suburbs.
