Chicago Heights police blotter

CHICAGO HEIGHTS

THEFT: Copper piping and a clothes dryer were stolen from a home between Dec. 1 and April 16 from a home in the first block of Forest Street.

BURGLARY: Two water heaters, copper pipes and a furnace were stolen between Feb. 1 and April 16 from a vacant house in the first block of West Main Street.

BURGLARY: A furnace, refrigerator, washer, dryer, water heater and condenser were stolen between April 11 and 15 from a vacant house in the 500 block of West 16th Place.

DUI CHARGE: John Fantasia, 32, 130 E. Joe Orr Road, Chicago Heights, was charged with drunken driving, improper lane use and driving on an expired license after an April 13 stop at 12th and Halsted streets, police said.

ARSON: A Chicago Heights man told police someone intentionally set on fire his garage, possibly using gasoline, April 13 in the first block of 19th Street.

DUI ARREST: Alfred Nauman, 46, 23 Penny, Chicago Heights, was charged with drunken driving after he was stopped April 13 at 14th and Scott streets, police said.

MARIJUANA CHARGE: Desean Lee, 20, 1511 Wallace St., Chicago Heights, was charged with possession of marijuana, illegal transportation of alcohol and no insurance after a stop April 16 in the 1300 block of Washington Street, police said.

DUI CASE: Angelica Stevenson, 32, 4228 Lindenwood Drive, Matteson, was charged with drunken driving and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle April 17 after a stop in the 1000 block of East 14th Street, police said.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Rocando Roa-Lopez, 38, 140 E. 22nd St., Apt. 1, was charged with domestic battery after an April 17 incident at his home, police said.

PROPERTY DAMAGE: Dakeisha Scales, 19, 1430 Donovan, #202, Chicago, was charged with criminal damage to property after smashing the rear windshield of a car belonging to a Chicago Heights man April 17 in the 600 block of West 16th Place, police said.
