SSC offers summer classes for children

South Suburban College is offering summer courses for children and young adults.

The majority of the College for Kids classes will begin the week of June 17 at SSC’s main campus in South Holland and at the University and College Center in Oak Forest.

SSC will offer a four-week Jam Session Day Camp program, three days per week, beginning June 17, for $329. Students will study reading and review basic math skills. Additional activities are Spanish and art.

Learning Enrichment Classes will be offered for preschoolers at a cost of $39 each. They also include Jump Start on Reading, Reading Readiness, ABCs and 123s, Dr. Seuss and Mother Goose, and Jump Start on Kindergarten.

Classes also will be offered for elementary school students for $69 each. They include Well Written Essays, Study Skills, Fun with Phonics, Grammar No Problem, Reading — Accelerated or Refresher, Math Refresher, Pre-Algebra and Spanish.

High school classes for $69 each include Well Written Essays, Study Skills, Introduction to Algebra, Pre-Algebra/Geometry and Conversational Spanish.

Students with classes totaling $100 or more may be eligible for a deferred tuition payment plan.
