CHICAGO HEIGHTS

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Melvin Brown, 31, whose address was not listed, was charged with domestic battery after an Aug. 26 incident at 12th Street and Grant Avenue, police said.

BATTERY: Antonio Short, 20, 208 E. 26th St., Chicago Heights, was charged with battery after an altercation with a woman Aug. 26 at his residence, police said.

THEFT: Copper pipe was stolen Aug. 26 or 27 from a vacant house in the 100 block of Sherry Lane.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: James Shelley, 21, 12411 S. Normal Ave., Chicago, was charged with domestic battery after an Aug. 27 disturbance at the Olympic Village apartments, police said.

BURGLARY: A central air conditioner, hot water heater, refrigerator and furnace were removed Aug. 27 from a vacant house in the 300 block of Serena Drive.

BURGLARY: Construction equipment was stolen Aug. 27 from a residential garage in the 300 block of Iris Lane.

VANDALISM: Tires were slashed Aug. 28 or 29 on two cars in the 200 block of East 23rd Street, three cars in the 100 block of East 24th Street and one car in the 100 block of 25th Street.

SHOT FIRED: A bullet was fired Aug. 29 or 30 through the window of a house in the 100 block of West 14th Place. No one was injured.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Kendyal Brown, 26, 1326 Vincennes Ave., Chicago Heights, was charged with domestic battery after an Aug. 30 incident at his home, police said.

BEER BURGLAR: A Chicago Heights woman told police she saw a man break a window screen and flee from her house with a six-pack of beer Aug. 30 in the 200 block of Joe Orr Road.

MUGGING: A 48-year-old man told police he was attacked and beaten by two men and a woman Aug. 30 in the first block of Main Street.
