U.S. Rep. Robin Kelly recently donated five computers to Strassburg Elementary School in Sauk Village.
The used government computers were refurbished by PC Rebuilders & Recyclers of Chicago.
“In today’s digital world, computers are an essential tool. So I’m pleased that more computers can be made available to our students through this valuable government program and through the good will of Willie Cade, whose company refit the computers free of charge,” Kelly said. “This is an example of the positive force that can be created when government and business work together for the benefit of our young people.”
State Rep. Elgie Sims, District 168 Board President Sharon Davenport, Sauk Village Mayor David Hanks and Trustee Derrick Burgess also attended.
