The South Suburban College Foundation is seeking support from the community for the 2013 Scholarship Donor Drive. This year’s SSCF fundraising goal is $100,000.
One-hundred percent of Donor Drive donations go to scholarship and student-assistance funds for students in need, including high school graduates, unemployed residents looking for a career change, or single parents pursuing a college degree.
The majority of SSC scholarship recipients do not qualify for any other type of financial assistance. Scholarship money is provided primarily through this fall Donor Drive.
Scholarship contributions to the SSCF are 100 percent tax-deductible (TIN: 23-7191736). Donor plans can be made at any level. New scholarships also can be established with a $750 donation.
The SSCF awarded more than $100,000 in total awards in 2013 and has awarded more than $1.5 million since 1987.
