DOMESTIC BATTERY: Mary Blakemore, 53, 1131 Claude Court, Chicago Heights, was charged with domestic battery after an Oct. 9 incident at her home, police said.
THEFT: More than $3,000 worth of tools was stolen Oct. 9 from inside the Nagle Pumps building, 1249 Center Ave.
CAR THEFT: A 2003 Oldsmobile Alero was stolen sometime before Oct. 11 from Car Hop, 207 S. Halsted St.
BURGLARY: Copper pipe was stolen Oct. 11 from a vacant house in the 300 block of West 17th Street.
BATTERY: Richard Ramirez, 40, 255 E. 23rd St., Chicago Heights, was charged with battery and retail theft after biting the owner of Chicago Heights Fresh Market, 1657 Chicago Road, on Oct. 11 when the owner confronted him over stealing a steak and a bottle of pop, police said.
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY: A Chicago Heights man told police he cornered a burglar Oct. 12 in a scrap yard in the 1700 block of Wentworth Avenue, but the man escaped into a nearby wooded area before police arrived.
BURGLARY: Two welders and a snowblower were stolen Oct. 12 from a garage in the 300 block of West 25th Street.
DUI ARREST: Tiana Williams, 29, 376 Wilshire St., Park Forest, was charged with drunken driving, improper lane use and no insurance after an Oct. 13 stop on Chicago Road, police said.
