Crete Public Library announces January events

The Crete Public Library, 1177 N. Main St., will host a series of January events in the Youth Services Department.
G.R.O.S.S., an adventures program, will be held for boys 7 and older from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Jan. 9.
Lego Day will be held for children age 6 and older from 1 to 2 p.m. Jan. 11. Children will create different Lego projects that will be displayed in the department.
Chess Night will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Jan. 13. Beginning this month, points will be recorded from each game, and in May, prizes will be awarded. Beginners will be taught how to play chess.
Girls Night Out for girls age 7 and older will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Jan. 15. There will be a craft for the girls to make.
The Digital Camera Photo Club will be held for age 7 and older from 4:15 to 5 p.m. Jan. 16. Participants will learn how to compose and print pictures and should bring a camera if possible. Registration is limited to 12 children.
