Technology assistant earns District 194 award

Steger School District 194 recently presented the Award of Educational Distinction to Amy Starzyk, who is a member of the technology department at Columbia Central School in Steger.
Starzyk has worked in the district for 11 years and held a variety of positions before settling into the role of building technology assistant at Columbia Central.
She was nominated for the award based on her “willingness to go above and beyond while maintaining a positive and upbeat demeanor,” officials said.
