Junior class students at Bloom Trail High School in Steger recently participated in the school’s Book Fair, an annual educational activity at the school. More than 200 students exhibited artistic displays featuring books they read.
The event was held in the school’s field house and was sponsored by the Bloom Trail Junior Academy program, which was established to encourage students to read more books.
At the Book Fair, students reviewed their fellow classmates’ displays and voted for the top presenters. The displays featured information about a book’s plot and characters.
Receiving first-place prizes were James O’Connor and Jared Cyrus for best presentations; Briana Williams and Kelly Pompea for best display boards; and Sierra Brown and Dion Smith for best creative projects.
