Journalism students go to state

Three Evergreen Park Community High School students recently attended the Illinois High School Association State Journalism Finals at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Ill.
Competing were Brittney DeMik in feature photography, and Jill Siemiawski and Tricia Butera in yearbook theme development.
All three girls had second-place finishes at the sectional meet the weekend prior to the state finals.
The school’s newspaper sponsor is Jason Burns, and the yearbook sponsor is Chrystal Gryz.
