Sexton speaks
to Lions Club

Evergreen Park Mayor Jim Sexton was the featured speaker at a recent meeting of the Lions Club of Evergreen Park.

Sexton gave a complete update of all activities in the community and answered questions from Lion members, who in turn complimented Sexton, “on a job well done in making Evergreen Park a fine place to live,” club officials said.

Hughes wins
Arbor Day
contest

Mattie Hughes, a seventh-grade student at St. Bernadette Catholic Academy in Evergreen Park, was the winner of the 2012 Arbor Day Essay Contest.

Evergreen Park Mayor Jim Sexton presented Hughes with a certificate, and the village planted an autumn blaze maple tree in her honor on school property.
