Here is a look at what Southlanders are accomplishing in college. News from the SouthtownStar’s North region includes Evergreen Park, Oak Lawn, Palos Heights, Palos Hills, Palos Park, Alsip, Chicago Ridge and Worth.

Illinois Wesleyan University

Several area students have been named to the spring 2012 semester dean’s list at Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, Ill.

Evergreen Park — Sarah Menke, Thomas Simmons, Victoria Simmons

Oak Lawn — Lizzie Egan, Colleen Hennigan

Palos Heights — Peter Moeller

Palos Hills — Spencer Rzeszutko, Erica Vrkljan

Palos Park — Steve Santucci

Southern Illinois University Edwardsville

Jennifer R. Szymczak, of Oak Lawn, has received a bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.

University of St. Francis

Sarah Memmesheimer, an alumna of St. Bernadette Catholic Academy in Evergreen Park, has received a degree from the University of St. Francis in Joliet.

John Marshall Law School

Patrick M. O’Brien, an alumnus of St. Bernadette Catholic Academy in Evergreen Park, has received a law license from the John Marshall Law School in Chicago.

Trinity Christian College

Several baccalaureate students have graduated from Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights.
