Mokena resident Lou Filosa of the Chicago Petroleum Council and Vicky Custard, president of the Chicago Oilmen group, recently presented a check for $1,000 to Together We Cope.
Accepting the check during the group’s recent golf outing at Silver Lake Country Club in Orland Park was Evergreen Park resident Karen Moran, TWC’s fundraising manager.
“We are happy to support Together We Cope as it works so hard to help families who are in trouble in this economy,” Filosa said.
Together We Cope is a nonprofit agency based in Tinley Park that assists families in temporary crisis from 22 south suburban communities through its food pantry, resale shop and some financial aid for rent, mortgage and utility bills.
