Business breakfast in Tinley Sept. 21

Edgar Montalvo, a candidate for state senate in the 19th District, will hold a business leaders breakfast Sept. 21 at the Odyssey Country Club, 19110 S. Ridgeland Ave., Tinley Park.

Senate Minority Leader Christine Radogno (R-Lemont) is scheduled to deliver the keynote speech.

The focus of the event will be a discussion on ways to improve the business climate in Illinois. Participants will be given an opportunity to provide feedback on what challenges they’re facing.

Beverly man named SVP at Citi

Tom Hall, a resident of Chicago’s Beverly community, has been named a senior vice president at Citi Commercial Bank. His role will be to execute integrated sales, service and relationship strategies to support growth and retention of middle-market commercial clients, Citi said.

Hall was previously a senior vice president at American Chartered Bank, where he was responsible for new business development and for establishing new commercial and industrial relationships. Hall previously served as chairman of the Chicago Southland Chamber of Commerce.
