BACinema to screen ‘Beasts of the Southern Wild’

Beverly Arts Center’s film series continues at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 28 at 2407 W. 111th St., Chicago, with “Beasts of the Southern Wild.”
Directed by Benh Zeitlin, the fantasy drama stars Quvenzhane Wallis, Dwight Henry and Levy Easterly.
The film received two 2012 Sundance Film Festival awards in the dramatic category.
Ben Richardson was honored with the Cinematography Award while Zeitlin received the Grand Jury Prize.
Rated PG-13 for thematic material including child imperilment, some disturbing images, language and brief sensuality, the film runs for 1 hour and 33 minutes.
