Smith Village names exec director

Frankfort resident Marti Jatis has been named executive director of Smith Village, a continuing-care retirement community in Chicago’s Beverly community, according to Smith Senior Living.
Jatis replaces Kevin McGee, who recently was named chief executive of Smith Senior Living, which operates Smith Village and Smith Crossing in Orland Park.
Jatis, 39, grew up in Chicago’s Mount Greenwood community and graduated from Mother McAuley High School. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nutrition from Northern Illinois University.
Jatis is a registered dietitian and licensed nursing home administrator. She first worked as a dietitian for what was then called the Washington and Jane Smith Community in Beverly, which now is Smith Village, and returned to Smith Senior Living in 2004.
