Two men were killed and a woman was injured in a traffic crash early Sunday in Chicago’s Mount Greenwood community, police said.
The fatal crash happened about 2:20 a.m. in the 3400 block of West 115th Street, police news affairs officer Amina Greer said.
A 36-year-old man and a 28-year-old man were killed in the crash, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. Their names were being withheld pending notification of their families.
The head-on collision pinned some of the people inside the wreckage and sent a woman to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in serious to critical condition, according to unconfirmed dispatch reports.
Chicago authorities are investigating the crash, which happened on the city’s border with Merrionette Park, authorities said.
