Here is a look at auditions.

Casting calls include the TV show “America’s Got Talent.”

“AMERICA’S GOT TALENT”: The search for the next million-dollar act for NBC’s top-rated TV series will stop at McCormick Place, 2301 S. Lake Shore Drive, Chicago, on Jan. 26-27.

The two-day open talent casting call is for the show’s eighth season, which is slated to include judges Howard Stern and Howie Mandel.

Every type of performer is welcome including musicians, dance crews, magicians, contortionists, comedians, singers, jugglers and animal acts.

“This year’s search is bigger than ever before, with the show traveling to cities around the country in search of one-of-a-kind talent,” officials said.

“ ‘America’s Got Talent’ is the only talent competition show that is open to any age and any talent.

“The auditions are a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for performers across the country to showcase their talents in 90 seconds to the series’s producers in the hopes of being able to take the stage in front of the judges.

“Last year’s winning act — Richard and Nick Olate, of Olate Dogs — beat out thousands of hopefuls to take home the coveted $1 million grand prize and a headlining show in Las Vegas.”

THEATER ON THE MOVE: Auditions for this troupe’s spring musical, “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,” will take place from 7:30-9:30 p.m. Feb. 7 in the Baer Theater at Morgan Park Academy, 2153 W. 111th St., Chicago.

All roles are available and all ages are welcome. Children will be featured in the large children’s chorus used throughout the show.

“The biblical saga of Joseph and his coat of many colors comes to vibrant life in this delightful musical parable,” officials said.

“Joseph was the favorite son sold into slavery by his jealous brothers, and ultimately became second only to the pharaoh.

“This show employs a lively cornucopia of musical styles from country-western and calypso to bubblegum pop and rock ’n’ roll, emerging as a tale both timely and timeless and enjoyed by all ages.”

Adult performers should be prepared to sing a short vocal selection. Children will be taught a short song at the audition.

Show dates are scheduled for April 20-21.
