The Beverly Arts Center, 2407 W. 111th St., Chicago, will offer dozens of summer art camps in June, July and August.

The Summer Arts Experience camp offers music, dance, drama, visual arts, fitness, computers and other activities for groups ages 5 and 6, ages 7 through 9 and ages 10 through 12 in five, two-week sessions.

Before camp care is available for an additional fee.

Preschoolers learn and create in Pre-Arts Summer Art Encounter, three- and four-week sessions, two or four days a week. Designed to help children transition from home to a social environment, the program offers art, creative play and music every day, plus special activities including dance, yoga and in-house field trips.

Also this summer, age-appropriate camps that focus on general interest areas are offered. They include visual arts, dance, music or theater.

Specific interest camps include ceramics, fashion design, tutu, ballet technique, Broadway babies and comedy improv.

New this year are Suzuki violin summer camp, rock band summer camp and summer sampler music camp.

A painting-intensive camp and jewelry-making camp are offered for teens.

The center’s summer theater camp will host three productions on the main stage: “Disney’s Winnie the Pooh” for theater students ages 5 to 8; “Pirates of Penzance, Jr.” for students ages 9 to 12, and “The Producers” for students ages 13 to 22.

For information on auditions and performances, email theater@beverlyartcenter.org.

In addition to summer camps, the center offers classes in visual art, digital photography, fabric and jewelry arts, computers, papercraft, theater, dance, filmmaking, bridge, movement, private music lessons and ensemble music classes for children through adults.
