The Joseph Cardinal Bernardin Council of the Knights of Columbus, Evergreen Park, recently awarded $500 scholarships to graduates of six local Catholic schools for their exemplary service to their school, church and community.

Anton R. Iberle, past Grand Knight; and Stephen M. Ligda Jr., current Grand Knight, presented the awards to Kyra Irene Signorelli, of Most Holy Redeemer; Nathan Manning, of Queen of Martyrs; Giselle Campos, of St. Bede the Venerable; Emma Hughes, of St Bernadette; Jacob Faculak, of St. John Fisher; and Patrick Dillon, of St Catherine of Alexandria.

The students will attend one of four local high schools: Marist, Brother Rice, Mother McAuley or Queen of Peace.

The Knights of Columbus is the world’s largest Catholic fraternal organization with more than 1.8 million members. For membership information, email kcevergreen@comcast.net.
