Bridgeview: The Bridgeview Park District invites all girls basketball teams to join its league, which runs from December to March. Team divisions are fourth, fifth and sixth grades, and seventh and eighth grades. Games will be played at the park district’s Sports Complex Gymnasium, 8100 S. Southland: The Windy City Magic eighth-grade boys basketball travel team will hold tryouts for the 2013-14 season from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Sunday and Monday at the Orland Park Sportsplex, 11351 W. 159th St. Information: www.windycitymagic.org.

Southland: Unique Bassmasters, Rayjus Outdoors and the Oak Lawn High School Spartan fishing team and its sponsors, will host the Rayjus Outdoors-Oak Lawn Community High School Bass Tournament on the Kankakee/Des Plaines River on Oct. 12.
