Southland: Matteson/Olympia Fields Baseball, a private league working in partnership with the Olympia Fields Park District, needs coaches and board members for the 2014 season. Information: Kevin Oliver at (708) 674-7444.
Southland: The Midwest Rangers seeks players who will be 11 or 14 years old next season. The age cutoff is April 30. The Rangers is a full-time travel team that plays a competitive schedule including competing in a national World Series. Information: (708) 932-0590 or email@example.com.

Bridgeview: Girls basketball teams are invited to join the Bridgeview Park District’s league, which runs from December to March. Team divisions are fourth, fifth and sixth grades, and seventh and eighth grades. Games will be played at the park district’s Sports Complex Gymnasium, 8100 S. Chicago: Mount Carmel High School will host a grammar school tournament for eighth-grade teams Dec. 8, 14 and 15. Separate public and private school brackets will be formed, with the winners meeting in the championship. All teams are guaranteed two games each. Fee: $75.
