BASEBALL

Oak Lawn: Registration continues through December for Oak Lawn Baseball’s 2014 season. Information: oaklawnbaseball.com.

Southland: South Suburban College and coach Steve Ruzich host a catching camp for ages 8 to 18 from 1 to 4 p.m. Dec. 26 and 27 at the main campus, 15800 S. State St., South Holland. Fee: $100. Information: Steve Ruzich at (708) 596-2000, Ext. 2413.

Southland: Matteson/Olympia Fields Baseball, a private league working in partnership with the Olympia Fields Park District, needs coaches and board members for the 2014 season. Information: Kevin Oliver at (708) 674-7444.

BASKETBALL

Bridgeview: Girls basketball teams are invited to join Bridgeview Park District’s league, which runs from December to March. Team divisions are fourth, fifth and sixth grades, and seventh and eighth grades. Games will be played on Saturdays and/or Sundays at the park district’s Sports Complex Gymnasium, 8100 S. Chicago: Mount Carmel High School hosts a grammar school tournament for eighth-grade teams Sunday, Saturday and Dec. 15. Separate public and private school brackets will be formed, with the winners meeting in the championship. All teams are guaranteed two games. Fee: $75. Southland: South Suburban College’s men’s basketball program and coach John Pigatti will host the eighth annual Holiday Basketball Camp for ages 7 to 17 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 30 and 31 at the college’s main campus fitness center, 15800 S. Southland: Midwest Elite Diamond 19-and-over women’s fast-pitch club is looking for college softball players to play in summer.
