Marist High School recently hosted a signing ceremony for six student-athletes to sign their National Letters of Intent, confirming their enrollment at their respective colleges during the 2014-15 academic year.
Wrestlers Peter Andreotti, of Western Springs, and Mario Leveille, of Chicago’s Mount Greenwood community, both committed to Purdue University in Indiana.
Andreotti is a two-time state-placer, finishing fifth (160 pounds) in 2013 and sixth (152 pounds) in 2012. Leveille is a two-time state qualifier.
Softball player Brooke Wyderski, of Justice, committed to Loyola University Chicago.
As a shortstop and pitcher, Wyderski helped lead the RedHawks to the 2012 Illinois High School Association 4A state championship.
Her teammate Julie Trellicoso, of Chicago’s Beverly community and an outfielder for the RedHawks, signed with St. Ambrose University in Iowa.
Volleyball players Molly Mayo and Bridget Krasowski, both of Oak Lawn, also signed.
Mayo, a standout setter for Marist, will play for Wofford College in South Carolina, while Krasowski will head to St. Joseph’s College in Indiana.
