Updated: April 17, 2014 6:02AM

“Get In, Get Art,” the Beverly Arts Center’s popular monthly activity series, hosts “Get Local” from 2 to 4 p.m. March 23.

Showcasing art and culture from Chicago, the program offers free activities for all ages and is held at the center, 2407 W. 111th St., Chicago, according to a press release from the center.

Projects will be inspired by local and city history, as well as the artists, musicians, writers and performers who have made Chicago a center for the arts. Activities range from make-and-take arts projects for young children, through workshop-style art lessons for adults.

“Get Local” also will offer some Chicago-style food tastings and entertainment.

“Get In, Get Art” is open to all area families and provides an opportunity to sample the quality and creativity of arts programming offered at the Beverly Arts Center, Chicago’s not-for-profit, multidiscipline, multicultural facility for fine arts education and programming, according to the center.
