More than 600 women turned out when the Little Company of Mary Auxiliary hosted the eighth annual In Good Company fundraiser and shopping event at Ridge Country Club in Chicago on April 10, according to a press release from the hospital.
The garden-themed evening included trendy shopping, fine wine, pastries, French delicacies, raffles and more, with Little Company of Mary’s own Dr. David Roth, an anesthesiologist, playing classical music on the piano throughout the event, the release said.
Shopping went from 4 to 9:30 p.m., and Ridge Country Club was decorated in a colorful array of flowers and garden-inspired trinkets. More than 50 vendors displayed original and handmade crafts, stunning outfits, paintings, jewelry, accessories and culinary items, the release said.
There also were raffle baskets featuring fine wines, jewelry, American Girl dolls, exotic orchids, original paintings and more.
Grand raffle winners included Lisa DiMarco, who won a garden consultation with Wendy Schulenberg, landscape architect of Daniel Weinbach & Partners, LTD; Eleanor Stone, who won a framed whimsical portrait of her home and/or garden donated by Jim Teggelaar; and Marianne Moran, who won floral pillows and a throw donated by Southtown Paint & Wallpaper, the release said.
Proceeds will benefit Values. Vision. Innovation: The Campaign for Little Company of Mary Hospital.
