How has being an athlete changed your life?
I’ve met a lot of new people that I’m friends with now. One of my best friends I met in travel basketball.
Which of the other Lincoln-Ways would you like to beat the most?
Lincoln-Way East, due to the fact that it would be a really good, fun game. It would be nice to win once.
What opposing player do you really like going up against?
Caitlin McMahon, of Lincoln-Way East. I played travel with her. It’s fun to go up against her.
What’s the best part about being 6 feet tall?
Being able to rebound and have an advantage in posting.
What’s the hardest part about being 6 feet tall?
Finding clothes. Geez. But I find them now. I shop at Buckle. They have longer jeans.
Has anyone ever told you that you look like someone famous?
One of my friend’s mom used to tell me I looked like a Barbie, because of my blonde hair and height.
What’s your guilty pleasure food?
Chocolate. Milk chocolate, especially, like a Hershey’s bar.
You’re sitting on your living room couch and a mouse runs across the floor. What happens next?
(Laughing) I’d jump up on my couch and scream. I do not like rodents. I would not be the capturer.
Your dream celebrity prom date. Who is it?
Taylor Lautner, because of his looks.
Would you rather take Taylor Lautner to prom or play in a state title game?
Oh, play in a state title game. It would be an experience I’d never forget.
What annoys you more than anything else?
When you’re sitting in class and somebody is kicking your desk or tapping a pencil.
When you really get mad, what happens?
I’ll go work out or shoot baskets.
Is cheerleading a sport?
Yes, it’s a tough sport. I did it for several years, and it’s a workout. You have to be strong. There is a lot of twisting of your body.
How many Facebook friends do you have?
A lot. Close to 1,000.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
I want to start a family and get a good job in accounting or nursing.
As told to Tony Baranek
