The Chansonettes recently presented the spring concert “All Dressed Up and Ready to Go” at the Mokena Public Library.

The group performed show tunes and pop standards such as “Putting on the Ritz,” “These Boots are Made for Walking,” “Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend,” “I Feel Pretty,” “Steppin Out with My Baby,” “String of Pearls” and others.

The Chansonettes are a choral group that was founded in 1954 by women from Park Forest. It now is made up of women from several Southland communities who get together to sing and share fellowship.
