Knights appreciate support
St. Mary Mokena Knights of Columbus 6993 thanks those who came out to our annual Community Pizza Party to benefit the Frankfort Township Food Pantry. During these tough economic times, local food pantries have seen a great demand placed on them. With help from the community, the pizza party raised more than $1,300.
The Frankfort Township Food Pantry saw a 10 percent increase in clients in 2011. With an average of three bags of food per client visit, more than 6,500 bags of food were given to those in need.
