Frankfort, Mokena police blotter

FRANKFORT

BURGLARY: Various items were stolen Sept. 5 from a business in the 19900 block of LaGrange Road.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Michael Plante, 39, of Joliet, was charged with driving on a suspended license and improper lighting after a stop Sept. 6 in the 21000 block of LaGrange Road, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Rogelio Castro, 41, 2532 Millard, Chicago, was charged with driving on a suspended license and suspended registration after a Sept. 7 stop at LaGrange Road and Maple Street, police said.

VANDALISM: Vehicle windows were broken Sept. 8 in a driveway in the 600 block of Vermont Road.

DUI ARREST: Jane E. Griffin, 49, 11621 197th St., Mokena, was charged with drunken driving, resisting police, improper parking on the roadway and no insurance after being stopped Sept. 8 at 116th Avenue and Laraway Road, police said.

THEFT ATTEMPT: Raymond Pelton, 54, 89 W. 28th Place, Chicago Heights, and Jason Pelton, 32, 223 Columbia Circle, Steger, were charged with attempted theft after a Sept. 9 incident in the 22700 block of Challenger Road, police said.

VEHICLE BURGLARY: Items were stolen Sept. 9 from a vehicle in the 600 block of Fairway Lane.

BURGLARY: Brian Klir, 30, 11620 Blackhawk, Mokena, was charged with burglary in connection with a Sept. 9 burglary in the 19900 block of LaGrange Road, police said.

VEHICLE BURGLARY: Items were stolen Sept. 10 from a vehicle in the 200 block of North Maple Street.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Johnny Anderson, 37, of Plainfield, was charged with driving on a suspended license and speeding after a stop Sept. 11 at 84th Avenue and U.S. 30, police said.

MOKENA

VANDALISM: A windshield and car window were broken Sept. 8 in the 19100 block of Weber Road.

SUV BURGLARIES: Golf clubs, calculators and a cell phone were stolen from three sport utility vehicles Sept. 8 in the 9800 block of Forestview Drive.

SUV BURGLARY: A knife was stolen Sept. 8 from a sport utility vehicle in the 20000 block of Lakeview Way.

CAR BURGLARY: An iPod and sunglasses were stolen from a car Sept. 8 in the 20000 block of Arbor Lane.

CAR BURGLARY: A cell phone and GPS system were stolen from a car Sept. 8 in the 9900 block of Cambridge Drive.

HIT-AND RUN: Michael Michalik, 25, 12122 S. 70th Court, Palos Heights, was charged with leaving the scene of an accident and no insurance after a Sept. 8 stop in the 10200 block of 191st Street, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Jaime McInerney, 37, 11138 First St., Mokena, was charged with driving on a suspended license and speeding after a stop Sept. 11 at LaPorte Road and Lakeview Way, police said.

DUI ARREST: Douglas Ruston, 25, 11300 W. 194th St., Mokena, was charged with drunken driving, leaving the scene of an accident, running a red light, improper lane use, no insurance and driving on the sidewalk after a Sept. 12 stop at Old La Grange Road and 191st Street, police said.

COKE CASE: James Traynere, 45, 18629 Main St., Mokena, was charged with possession of cocaine and marijuana, no insurance and driving with one headlight and was arrested on a Cook County warrant after being stopped Sept. 12 in the 20100 block of Wolf Road, police said.

MARIJUANA CHARGE: Tawfik Almasri, 21, 19912 Pinegrove Drive, Mokena, was charged with selling marijuana, driving on a suspended license, improper use of registration and no insurance Sept. 14 after a Sept. 14 stop at Willow Lane and 97th Avenue, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Gregory Gehrke, 50, 19329 Wolf Rd., Mokena, was charged with driving on a suspended license and suspended registration after a Sept. 14 stop in the 12500 block of Regan Road, police said.

WARRANT ARREST: Timothy Ignowski, 21, 18821 Dilber Bay, Mokena, was arrested Sept. 15 on a Will County warrant at his home, police said.

WARRANT ARREST: Heath Zeller, 42, 11301 Wexford Drive, Mokena, was arrested Sept. 16 on a Champaign County warrant after getting into a dispute with a neighbor, police said.

WARRANT ARREST: Michael Ellul, 47, 11502 W. 195th St., Mokena, turned himself in to Mokena police Sept. 17 on a Will County warrant, police said.
