Marian students receive national honors

Several Marian Catholic High School students recently received national honors.
Students Patrick Fagan, of Chicago Heights; John Kirschenheiter, of Flossmoor; and Christopher Merriman, of New Lenox, earned status as a Commended Student in the National Merit program.
Students Taylor Byas, of Olympia Fields; Aaron Hudson, of South Holland; Cameron Lewis, of Olympia Fields; and Fauve Liggans-Hubbard, of Matteson, earned recognition as semifinalists in the National Achievement Scholarship Competition.
Seven Marian Catholic High School seniors are among 3,000 National Achievement Scholarship Program Commended Students for U.S. Colleges and Universities.
Marian commended students include Ola Olu Michael Agbabiaka, of Crete; Brianna Banks, of Richton Park; Rosalind Byrd, of Crestwood; Kareem Johnson, of South Holland; Ryan Paige, of Park Forest; Ronay Thomas, of Country Club Hills; and Bailey Williams, of Hazel Crest.
