Tom Fuessel, of Lincoln-Way East, is this week’s Pepsi-Cola/SouthtownStar Football Player of the Week.
Fuessel, a senior quarterback, rushed for 248 yards and three touchdowns on 15 carries to lead the Griffins to a 40-10 win over Edwardsville in a Class 7A quarterfinal. Fuessel will play his college ball at Northern Illinois.
