Suggestions include the Nostalgic Christmas Tea at Pickwick Society Tearoom in Frankfort and Santa on the Green in Oak Lawn.
Santa on the Green
Oak Lawn will present this event from 1 to 5 p.m. Nov. 24 on the village green, 94th Street and Cook Avenue, with a mini parade, Santa Claus, the Sward/Kolmar School Choir, winter sleigh rides and mini train rides.

Nostalgic Christmas Tea
Pickwick Society Tearoom, 122 W. Kansas St., Frankfort, hosts this event at 12:30 p.m. Nov. 25 with songs, stories and the Pickwick Players. Cost is $30.

Weekend
Nov. 23’s Weekend magazine will feature a look at six must-see films for the holiday season.
There also will be movie reviews of “Rise of the Guardians,” “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 2” and “The Sessions.”
