Hot Picks: MVCC concerts, 1950s Christmas

Period decorations will be on display in every room of the 1950s Park Forest House Museum in December when the "Step Back into a 1950s Christmas" exhibit can be visited.

Here is a look at top events you won’t want to miss.
Suggestions include holiday concerts at Moraine Valley Community College in Palos Hills and the “Step Back into a 1950s Christmas” exhibit at the 1950s Park Forest House Museum.
MVCC concerts
The Jazz Ensemble will perform its holiday concert at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 30 and the Concert Band will present Christmas Music and More at 3 p.m. Dec. 2.
Both shows will be in the Dorothy Menker Theater at Moraine Valley Community College, 9000 W. College Parkway, Palos Hills.

1950s Christmas
The 1950s Park Forest House Museum, 141 Forest Blvd., will display “Step Back into a 1950s Christmas” from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturdays and Wednesdays or by appointment in December.

Weekend
Nov. 30’s Weekend will feature a preview of the Drama Group’s “12 Angry Men” in Chicago Heights.
There also will be a movie review of “Silver Linings Playbook.”
