The Southwest Community Concert Band, directed by Ray Forlenza, will present a free Home for Christmas concert and annual food drive on Dec. 16 at the First Church of the Nazarene, 12725 S. Bell Road, Lemont.

Preconcert music will start at 5:30 p.m. in the lobby, with the concert set to begin at 6 p.m.

“Get in the holiday mood with Leroy Anderson’s ‘A Christmas Festival’ and ‘Bugler’s Holiday,’ ” officials said. “You’ll enjoy a variety of holiday pieces and a Christmas carol sing-along.”

Complimentary refreshments will be served after the performance.

The band is partially supported by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council.

The Southwest Community Concert Band was established in 1982.

Rehearsals take place from 7:30-9:30 p.m. Tuesdays at the First Church of the Nazarene in Lemont.
