Steel retirees to meet
The Republic Steel Retirees will meet on Thursday at Steve’s Lounge, 13200 S. Baltimore Ave., Chicago.
The meeting will begin with a social hour at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. The cost is $15 for members and $18 for guests.

FRANKFORT
IPO to host concert
The Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra, led by music director David Danzmayr, will perform a concert at 8 p.m. Saturday in the Performing Arts Center at Lincoln-Way North High School, 19900 S. Harlem Ave., Frankfort.
Danzmayr and the IPO will perform several masterworks by composers who were fascinated with expressing the figuration of water through music.
Water pieces will include Handel’s “Water Music,” Britte’’s “Four Sea Interludes from Peter Grimes,” Debussy’s “La Mer” and Vaughan Williams’ “The Lark Ascending.”
Tickets are $35 to $55 for general admission or $5 for students.

OAK FOREST
School to host Fun Fair
St. Damian School will host its Eighth Grade Fun Fair from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in the gymnasium at the school, 5300 W. 155th St., Oak Forest.
The free event will feature food, raffles, games and prizes. All proceeds will benefit the Neurofibromatosis Midwest.
