A senior forward at Lincoln-Way East, Nathalie Hill is a captain and three-year varsity player.

You’re a role player more than a scorer. Cool having a different role?

It’s always been my role to be a glue player knowing I’m not going to be the top scorer. As a sophomore playing up, I had to prove myself. As a senior, I put pressure on myself but not from anyone else. I’m having fun this year.

Improve your game with a snap of your finger. What do you pick?

I think mine would be ballhandling. Shooting is a great thing to have but to be able to dribble and see the court well is good, too.

What opponent would you love to have on your team?

Tiana Karopulos from Andrew.

Who is your celebrity prom date?

If I could have one person, I’d pick Michael Buble, and I went back and forth. Everyone always picks the young guys, but Buble, that voice.

Favorite Christmas present?

It was a complete joke but it was from the TV show “Lost.” I’m watching the seasons now but my brother got me a bobblehead of one of my favorite characters, John Locke.

Have you picked a college?

I’ve applied to schools but I have no idea right now. I don’t like the really big or really small schools, so I don’t have that one dream school.

Going to keep playing basketball?

I’ve thought forever that if I would. It was a goal but I’d rather grow as a student and a person so I’m kind of debating. I’m having fun playing basketball while I’m deciding.

What will you remember most about Lincoln-Way East?

I’ll definitely remember my teammates, the team, the camaraderie. You always feel connected to the place even when you leave. I’ll always remember Coach (Jim) Martin and all the assistants.

As told to Tim O’Brien
