Frankfort: The Frankfort Park District will offer a blast ball program, an introduction to baseball for kids ages 4 to 5 from 4 to 5 p.m. Thursdays from Thursday to March 14 at Grand Prairie School. Fees: $59; $64 nonresident. A Chicago White Sox Hitting Club will also be offered for ages 6 to 11 Mondays from Feb. 25 to March 25. Kids ages 6 to 8 will meet from 4 to 5:15 p.m. and ages 9 to 11 from 5:15 to 6:30 p.m. Fees: $103. Information: (815) 469-9400; www.frankfortparks.org
Southland: The baseball program at South Suburban College in South Holland, and head coach Steve Ruzich, will host adult-child baseball camps from Friday to Feb. 24 for kids ages 6 to 14. Camps are available in pitching, hitting, advanced hitting, fielding and coaching. Kids will be given expert instruction to build skills, while adults will be taught how to use effective teaching methods and provide instruction. Fee: $45 for one adult and one child per camp; $40 per camp for those who enroll in more than one. Southland: The Windy City Magic will hold tryouts for the spring/summer AAU season for boys at the 13U and 14U levels. Classes are available for ages 3 to 5 at 5:10 p.m. Mondays, 5 p.m. Tuesdays or 11 a.m. Tuesdays, for ages 6 to 12 at 5:40 p.m. Mondays, 5:45 p.m. Tuesdays or 6:25 p.m. Tuesdays, and for ages 13 and up at 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays. Frankfort: Lincoln-Way East will host a poms dance clinic for kids in grades kindergarten through six from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday. Participants will learn a dance routine and have an opportunity to perform it during halftime of Lincoln-Way East’s junior-varsity boys basketball game Friday. Fee: $30 (includes T-shirt).
