The children in Nancy Oster and Cathy Wonaitis’ 2-year-old class at St. Peter’s Preschool in Frankfort created butterfly Tootsie Pop valentines for the patients of Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox.
After listening to the story “Everyone Helps,” the students gathered at the project table to decorate the butterfly valentines with heart stickers.
The children even made a valentine for the Rev. Dave Moffett-Moore, pastor of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Frankfort, who welcomed the act of kindness.
