A fifth woman has filed a lawsuit accusing a Frankfort pediatrician of sex abuse.
Brittany Lopez of Joliet, who is also named as a victim in a criminal complaint against Kishor N. Jain, filed a lawsuit in Will County Friday against Jain and Hedges Clinic in Frankfort.
Jain, 59, of 767 Tanglewood Lane in Frankfort, now faces five civil lawsuits filed in Will County by women accusing him of fondlng them during office visits. Jain also faces 10 criminal counts of sex abuse and five counts of battery.
In the latest lawsuit, Lopez said she became a patient of Jain, who had treated her child, after an auto accident in September 2012.
During several office visits that fall, Lopez claims Jain asked her about her favorite sex positions, put his hand in her pants and touched her breasts.
Jain no longer works as a pediatrician at Hedges Clinic, 222 Colorado Ave. His medical license has been suspended by the state Department of Professional Regulation.
Jessica Schubbe called police in August 2011 after Jain allegedly fondled her during an office visit for her child. In January, Schubbe filed a civil lawsuit against Jain with the same allegations.
Schubbe’s lawyer said media coverage of her lawsuit gave other women the courage to come forward to Frankfort police, which led to the criminal charges, police said.
Jain turned himself in to police Feb. 15 when he learned of a warrant for his arrest on the criminal charges. He posted bond and was released.
His next court date on the criminal charges is set for April 25.
